Residential Services

The Healing Place, Ltd. Residential Services, developed and managed by New Start Inc. staff, is an important ingredient in the concept of "total care" that is unique to the family of New Start Inc. treatment programs.

Each patient is evaluated by New Start Inc. professionals for the type of structured living most suitable to meet his or her needs.

Each is then placed in a one or two bedroom apartment to diminish negative peer influence and the need to "fit in."

Staff Members are "matched" with each patient to provide continued, ongoing role modeling and emotional support. This process assures abstinence from all mood and mind-altering chemicals through encouraged and expected participation in 12 Step self-help group meetings. Regular monitoring and supervision assist patients with program compliance, and development of positive and chemically free social options.

Most important, this innovative, semi-independent living places the responsibility for rehabilitation in the patient's hands - which contributes to his or her ability to break free of dependent behaviors.
